Birds Eye View
Slowly I scope the horizon gazing at the towns and hillsides that are dotted with buildings and people strolling around the zigzagging streets. I get a bird's eye view of the chalky white caps dancing in and out of the ultramarine ocean. The sun's radiant ravishing rays penetrate through the vibrant rainbow like parachute canopy and shimmer in my eyes.
Up in the teal blue sky it is nearly complete silence. The tranquil wind is wrapping around me in a big bear hug and is so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop. I can hear myself shrieking with excitement as the the adrenaline is being pumped through my veins.
I feel the parachute lurch left and right with the wind like an all black dodging and scoring the winning try. I'm clenching the ashen white ropes in front of me for my dear life. The wind is a polar cold and is making my teeth lightly chatter together.
The fresh minty air gives me a memory of colorful lollies and makes my mouth dry like a dessert. My legs dangle down from the parachute like a stalactite hanging from the roof of a cave.
I cant help but wonder when i`m going to come down and if I will safely land on the boat or in the glacial, frosty, turquoise sea.
