Birds Eye View

Slowly I scope the horizon gazing at the towns and hillsides that are dotted with buildings and people strolling around the zigzagging streets.  I get a bird's eye view of the chalky white caps dancing in and out of the ultramarine ocean.  The sun's radiant ravishing rays penetrate through the vibrant rainbow like parachute canopy and shimmer in my eyes.

Up in the teal blue sky it is nearly complete silence. The tranquil wind is wrapping around me in a big bear hug and is so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop.   I can hear myself shrieking with excitement as the the adrenaline is being pumped through my veins.

I feel the parachute lurch left and right with the wind like an all black dodging and scoring the winning try. I'm clenching the ashen white ropes in front of me for my dear life.  The wind is a polar cold and is making my teeth lightly chatter together.

The fresh minty air gives me a memory of colorful lollies  and makes my mouth dry like a dessert.  My legs dangle down  from the parachute like a stalactite hanging from the roof of a cave.

I cant help but wonder when i`m going to come down and if I will safely land on the boat or in the glacial, frosty, turquoise sea.

The Majestic Castle

The Majestic Castle

The majestic castle is resting on its perch like a flag marking its territory watching over the vast landscape. The circling ravens act like soldiers guarding the castles ancient turrets that reach up into the ultramarine sky. The chalky white clouds glide lazily through the tranquil wind while the sun gradually dissapears behind the historic castle.

The weak wind passes through the castles decayed walls like a whaling ghost howling in my ear. The ravens screech like they want to bring back the king who once conquered this land. The azure water peacefully flows through the river silently.

I wonder what happened all those years ago in this kingdom and why was this castle abandoned to fall to pieces like a broken puzzle? The spine chilling wind is sending a shiver right through my body making my teeth lightly chatter together.

I can taste the presence of the people who once lived here in this crusted crumbling castle. The taste of the dusty air makes my mouth dry while the breeze skims over the river picking up little droplets of fresh water which sprays into my mouth.

The scent of rotten, decayed and moldy walls drifts up to my my nose. I can smell the the roast dinners that were once cooked in this castles kitchens. I wonder how much more centuries this proud castle will stand here for.
